About The Position

Make an impact as a Psychotherapist with our CentraCare - Addiction Services Unit! The psychotherapist provides diagnostic, psychological, or biopsychosocial evaluation and executes therapeutic treatment toward defined goals. The psychotherapist works to strengthen motivation and commitment to specific change goals through a collaborative, goal-oriented style of communication using motivational interviewing and evidence-based psychotherapy. St. Cloud Hospital/Addiction Services serves as primary clinical site; however additional consultative services may be provided to other behavioral health sites through in-person or TeleHealth assessment. The psychotherapist takes a leading role on the therapy team and is ultimately responsible for coordinated case management of assigned clients. Acts as a liaison between treatment team and consulting and referral resource personnel.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related Human Services field required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling required.
  • Dual licensure is required for this location.
  • State of Minnesota as a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) required.
  • State of Minnesota licensure required, need to have one of the following: The Board of Psychology as a Licensed Psychologist (LP), The Board of Social Work at Independent Clinical level (LICSW), The Board of Marriage and Family Therapy as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or The Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • Minimum of one-year experience required.
  • Requires successful compliance with Minnesota Law, Chapter 372 relating to sexual exploitation of patients by staff providing psychotherapy services.
