If so, CBI Health has an excellent opportunity for you to apply your strong clinical skills and experience as part of an interdisciplinary team. As a registered Psychotherapist / Social Worker at our Kitchener Victoria Health Centre, you will rely on your training and experience with grief/loss, mood/anxiety-related disorders and the assessment and treatment of trauma to really make a difference in the lives of our clients. Wage range: $40.00–$45.00 per hour, moving to a fee-split of 38%–43% following completion of your probationary period.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Psychotherapist
  • Registration in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario or the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
  • A Master’s degree in counselling, social work or a psychology-related discipline
  • Experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide-range of mental health symptoms
  • Clinical knowledge in the area of trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety and addictions
  • Experience working with traumatic brain injuries/concussions, and clients making the transition back to work
  • High familiarity in delivering a variety of different clinical modalities within both short-and-long-term intervention plans
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate within an interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychotherapeutic assessment and treatment to individuals and family members presenting with a wide range of mental health symptoms and disorders
  • Be responsible for working effectively and collaboratively with a team of clinicians to provide concurrent treatment that supports clients getting back to their normal living activities and daily functioning (including return to work)
  • Support clients with disabilities and/or injuries sustained from work or auto-related accidents
  • Provide detailed written reports and verbal updates of treatment progress to health funders including insurance adjusters, rehabilitation consultants, and disability managers
  • Form and establish a therapeutic relationships with clients and their families
  • Utilize effective and clear communication skills
  • Provide sound clinical acumen and ethical judgment
  • Make appropriate and effective use of self in clinical treatment
