As the Psychosocial Coordinator, you play a vital role in helping campers and families feel seen, supported, and prepared for camp. Through compassionate communication, trauma-informed practices, and strong relationships, you help create an environment where every camper experiences belonging, connection, and joy. You partner closely with families, volunteers, and staff to understand each camper's unique strengths, needs, and goals, helping ensure they can fully participate in the camp experience. You bring strong attention to detail and a commitment to individualized support throughout the camper journey. Before, during, and after camp, you help assess mental health, behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs, coordinating adaptations and support plans that promote success. You collaborate across departments to help create a safe, inclusive, and emotionally supportive environment. Grounded in the value of Camper First, you thoughtfully balance the needs of individual campers with the well-being of the cabin group and broader camp community, helping create experiences where all campers can thrive. You respond thoughtfully to challenges, using sound judgment and a strengths-based approach to support both individual success and community belonging.
