Department Overview The Neurodevelopmental Services department provides services on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. Specific services include medical management by our Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics team and diagnostic assessment services by our Neuropsychology providers. Neurodevelopmental Services is a subgroup of our broader Outpatient Mental Health team providing individual and family therapy, psychological assessment, neuropsychological assessment, and psychiatric evaluation and medication management (Available to children who are already patients of Children's mental health, pediatric, or subspecialty clinics). Position Summary The Psychometrist is responsible for the administration and scoring of standardized psychological and neuropsychological tests for children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 0-25) presenting with a wide range of medical, neurological, and neurodevelopmental conditions. This role supports licensed neuropsychologists in the clinical assessment of patients with complex presentations, including but not limited to traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, oncology, genetic disorders, neuroinflammatory conditions, and congenital heart disease.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Education, or a related healthcare field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in psychometric assessment, specifically within a pediatric or clinical medical setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of standardized psychometric instruments (e.g., Wechsler scales, Woodcock-Johnson, NEPSY-II, D-KEFS, Bayley Scales of Infant Development).
  • Understanding of pediatric neurodevelopment and the ability to adapt administration techniques to accommodate physical, sensory, or cognitive impairments.
  • Demonstrated or proven accuracy in scoring and data entry, with a commitment to maintaining the integrity of standardized data.
  • Strong professional writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary medical team.
  • Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, APA ethical guidelines, and hospital policies regarding patient confidentiality and protected health information (PHI).

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Board Certified Specialist in Psychometry (CSP) credential through the Board of Certified Psychometrists (BCP).
  • Experience with diverse pediatric populations and developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
