Wentworth Health Partners Coastal Neurology Services is seeking a 40-hour Psychometric Technician to join their Neurology team. This position is based fully onsite at their Dover location. In this role, you will work closely with Neuropsychologists to support comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for patients experiencing memory concerns, Alzheimer's disease, cognitive impairment, and other neurological or cognitive conditions. Following the Neuropsychologist's initial clinical evaluation, you will administer standardized neuropsychological assessments according to established testing protocols. Testing sessions can typically last 3 to 4 hours and include paper-based and/or computerized assessments. You will score and organize test results for the Neuropsychologist's review, while the provider is responsible for interpreting the findings, integrating them into the clinical evaluation, and completing the final report. Provider schedules vary throughout the week, with some days dedicated to patient testing and others focused on report writing and clinical documentation. A full testing day generally consists of up to two patients, allowing for thorough, individualized assessments. You'll also have the opportunity to participate in provider-led educational meetings and collaborate with an experienced team while building your knowledge of neuropsychological assessment and cognitive testing. Working under the supervision of the Neuropsychologist, the Psychometric Technician will assist in administering a wide range of standardized neuropsychological tests to patients with a diverse range of acquired or developmental neurocognitive disorders. This position assists in the cognitive evaluation of patients by administering, scoring and reporting the results of standardized tests of mental ability, as well as recording behavioral observations of patients during testing.
