Requirements

  • Hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university, ideally in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
  • Previous child-centred experience in a UK educational setting is highly valued.
  • Intellectually curious, articulate, and committed Psychology Teaching Assistant with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for the subject.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Psychology teachers across KS4 and sixth form to deliver intellectually stimulating lessons
  • Delivering targeted one-to-one and small-group tutoring sessions for pupils preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations
  • Helping students develop analytical writing, research skills, and understanding of core psychological theories
  • Tracking student progress and feeding back regularly to the class teacher and Head of Department
  • Building confident, academically focused relationships with sixth form students throughout the year
