The Child Mind Institute is dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders by providing gold-standard evidence-based care, delivering educational resources to millions of families each year, training educators in underserved communities, and developing tomorrow’s breakthrough treatments. The institute offers 12-month practicum opportunities for graduate students in BAPIC doctoral psychology programs, with placements available in the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Center. Practicum students gain hands-on experience conducting interviews, administering psychological and neuropsychological assessments, and providing evidence-based treatments in individual, group, and family formats. They may also participate in intensive treatment programs. Each student receives weekly individual supervision and reports to their center's Senior Director or Training Coordinator.
