About The Position

The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric support needs. Pinecrest Supports & Services Center (PSSC) is seeking a dedicated person to join our dynamic Psychology Dept. team. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality care and coordination across our programs. This position will provide and coordinate psychological services for treatment and rehabilitation in individuals' homes, day programs, workplaces, and recreational settings.

Requirements

  • A doctorate degree in psychology.
  • A Louisiana License to practice Psychology must be obtained within one year of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement programs involving the application of behavior treatment principles and techniques.
  • Monitor and oversee treatment plan developments and implementation.
  • Provide clinical supervision to ATAPs to build clinical capacities and evaluate work and performance of ATAPs.
  • Provide direct assessment and treatment for more complex cases needing higher level interventions.
  • Conduct group, individual, family, or other specialized psychotherapy with individuals as needed.
  • Coordinate and work with other disciplines to assure coordinated interdisciplinary treatment and care.
  • Supervise training, orientation, and continuing development by ensuring staff is trained to provide continuous care and security to individuals supported by PSSC.
  • Administer or review results of the full range of diagnostic tests for psychological assessment, interpret results and prepare psychological evaluations.
  • Complete intake assessments on new admissions and intellectual assessments.
  • Perform psychological diagnoses and treatment and participate as a member of an individual's treatment staff discussions of diagnosis, treatment, progress, and treatment planning.
