About The Position
Harbor is seeking a Psychologist (PhD or PsyD in Psychology) to join our interdisciplinary Developmental and Behavioral Services team at the Port Sylvania location. This role involves providing diagnostic and treatment services for children and youth, as well as supervising psychology assistants within a collaborative clinical environment. Candidates must hold a current license to practice psychology in the state of Ohio and have experience conducting psychological testing and evaluations.
Requirements
- PhD or PsyD in Psychology.
- Competency in completion of assessment, psychological testing evaluations, treatment plan development, and provision of empirically support treatment methods.
- License to practice psychology in Ohio; must maintain active licensure in good standing.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of personal auto insurance policy to be deemed insurable with Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
- CPR/First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment and renewed every 24 months.
- NCI/CPI Certification required within 90 days of employment and renewed every 24 months.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical supervision experience.
- Experience completing evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Responsibilities
- Administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological testing measures.
- Providing individual and/or group therapy utilizing best practice, evidence-based theoretical approaches.
- Creating clinical documentation in the format appropriate and acceptable to Harbor.
- Consulting effectively with other agencies, schools, the public, and other professionals as required.
- Fulfilling or exceeding billable service expectations established by Harbor.
- Providing crisis intervention as needed.
- Supervising the work of Psychology Assistants/Assistants to Psychology according to OPA ethical code and licensure limitations.
- Keeping current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrating continued growth.
