About The Position
The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in the WVU School of Medicine seek a Psychologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV. This position will provide trauma-informed, evidence-based outpatient assessment and intervention for adult patients with PTSD/cPTSD and co-occuring medical/ psychological conditions including but not limited to pain, functional disorders, eating concerns, and health anxiety.
Requirements
- PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited graduate program.
- APA/CPA-approved internship.
- Immediately eligible for state licensure.
Nice To Haves
- For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, Board Certification (ABPP).
- For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, clinical and teaching excellence and scholarly activity are required.
Responsibilities
- Practice in the area of Clinical Psychology.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Have teaching and supervision expectations within APA-accredited clinical psychology internships and fellowships.
- Provide additional teaching opportunities with medical students and residents within the department and broader Health Sciences Center on topics relevant to psychology.
- Provide trauma-informed, evidence-based outpatient assessment and intervention for adult patients with PTSD/cPTSD and co-occuring medical/ psychological conditions including but not limited to pain, functional disorders, eating concerns, and health anxiety.
