The Psychologist assesses inmates' mental health needs and suggesting treatment plans based on their criminal, psychological, and substance abuse histories. Talking with mentally ill inmates to help them during crises, group therapy, or one-on-one meetings, sometimes at their cell fronts. Using psychological tests to understand inmates better and provide appropriate care. Keeping detailed records of all interactions with inmates and attending team meetings. The Psychologist monitors inmate progress using Subjective Assessment Plan Evaluation FORMATTED PROGRESS NOTES. Teaching inmates about mental health and creating resources for them, especially those with mental illness or who are sex offenders. Sharing patient information with relatives only if they've given permission. The Psychologist makes sure the facility stays safe and orderly, preventing escapes or harm to anyone.
