About The Position

Clinical Pediatric Psychologist, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, OH. Participate, as licensed psychologist on team, in interdisciplinary diagnostic assessments for children w/suspected autism spectrum disorder or developmental delays. Conduct clinical interviews, developmental assessments, interdisciplinary conferencing & independent psychological evals, providing patient feedback & preparing integrated reports. Prov various psychological assessments. Maintain patient records in accordance w/local & national standards. Assist w/research, teaching & training. Job Description: Essential Functions: Conducts psychological evaluations to diagnose mental health disorders and develop treatment plans. Provides individual or group therapy sessions to patients to help them cope with emotional, behavioral or mental health issues. Develops and implements evidence-based psychological interventions for patients. Maintains accurate and confidential records of patient interactions and treatment plans. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. Stays up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in the field of psychology to provide the best possible care to patients. Education Requirement: Graduate of an accredited university doctoral program in health service psychology including clinical, counseling, or school psychology, required. Completion of a pre-professional psychology internship program, required. Completion of a post-doctoral training or equivalent experience, preferred Licensure Requirement: Eligible for Psychology licensure in the State of Ohio, required. Must obtain licensure within 4 months of hire. Experience: Experience in health service psychology, or equivalent education, preferred. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Clinical or School Psychology.
  • Licensed or eligible for license by OH Board of Psychologists.
