About The Position

Lifemark Physiotherapy Black Gold Drive is seeking a passionate Psychologist to provide high-quality individual psychotherapy and assessments (MMPI-3/PAI) for the treatment of work injuries and other mental health concerns. The target populations include veterans and civilian adults covered by PCVRS, LTD, MVA insurances, and private payers. The role offers flexibility in terms of in-person care on Wednesdays, with opportunities for hybrid schedules incorporating virtual care, or even a fully remote arrangement. The psychologist will be part of a dedicated interdisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, a physiotherapy assistant, kinesiologist, chiropractor, acupuncturist, massage therapists, and occupational therapists, specializing in sports rehabilitation, work-related and motor vehicle accident injuries, and long-term disability.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university.
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (competency with adult populations).
  • Individual professional liability insurance required at time of employment.
  • Experience with formal psychodiagnostic assessments (MMPI-3/PAI) is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated work ethics, integrity, reliability, maturity, and flexibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical experience in counselling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology, or neuropsychology.
  • Training/certifications with Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, EMDR and other evidence-based treatments.
  • 2 years of clinical experience working with adult populations on LTD and return-to-work.
  • Experience with chronic pain and occupational rehab.
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and with third party payers.
  • Utilizing telehealth/virtual care methods.
  • Bilingual - French English.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality individual psychotherapy and assessments (MMPI-3/PAI) for the treatment of work injuries and other mental health concerns.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of psychological wellbeing, including cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal areas.
  • Diagnose mental disorders and provide appropriate treatment to help patients regain mental health and wellbeing.
  • Work closely with a diverse team of mental health professionals and allied health practitioners.
  • Conduct psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planning.
  • Utilize telehealth/virtual care methods.
  • Manage a diverse caseload within a dynamic work setting.
  • Complete required clinical documentation efficiently.
