Psychologist Masters
About The Position
The psychologist reports to the manager of the Youth Mental Health and Addictions Services team and works within a multi-disciplinary team. The psychologist provides assessment and treatment to youth and families referred to the Youth Mental Health and Addictions Services Team. This includes providing psychometric, behavioral and family assessments in regards to youth exhibiting emotional/behavioral difficulties. The psychologist completes psychological assessments and reports and provides individual, family and group interventions. The psychologist collaborates with community partners and provides input into program planning and evaluation.
Requirements
- Master of Psychology (MPsych)
- Registered Psychologist (RPsych)
- Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in the specific department/area/program
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
Nice To Haves
- Master of Educational Psychology is acceptable
- Master of Clinical Psychology is acceptable
- Experience treating youth with emotional/behavioral and learning challenges.
- Experience working as a psychologist in a community-based setting an asset
