About The Position

This position provides direct clinical intervention services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. The role involves psychological testing, evaluation, services, reports, and expert testimony in legal proceedings. The psychologist is responsible for timely and accurate completion of all paperwork, including case notes, reports, intakes, terminations, and treatment plans. They will also be responsible for the preparation and monitoring of individual client behavior plans and behavior management plans, evaluating client progress, and supervising the implementation of these plans. Collaboration with psychiatrists and other specialists is key in developing treatment programs. The position also includes case consultation, attending client team meetings, and maintaining or exceeding performance standards. The psychologist must apply for and maintain the highest level of licensure or certification, ensuring continuation through required training or CEUs. They will also establish knowledge of appropriate billing codes and stay updated on changes to maximize billing. Completing and maintaining the necessary quantity and quality of documentation for regulatory and organizational requirements is essential. The role also involves arranging for, documenting, and maintaining participation in clinical supervision, and providing clinical supervision as requested.

Requirements

Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided: WV: Licensed Psychologist - West Virginia Board of Examiners in Psychology OR MD: Licensed Psychologist - Maryland State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
One (1) year of patient care experience (can include practicum and internship experience)
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format but contain original ideas.
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Ability to deal with non verbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables

Responsibilities

Completes all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner (e.g. case notes, reports, intakes, terminations, treatment plans, etc.
Responsible for preparation and monitoring of individual client behavior plans. Responsible for oversight of the preparation and monitoring of client behavior management plans. Evaluates client progress in achieving behavior management plan objectives. Supervises the implementation of behavior management plans
Collaborates with psychiatrist and other specialists in developing treatment programs for clients
Provides case consultation. Attends client team meetings as requested.
Maintains or exceeds performance standards set by administrative team.
Applies for and maintains the highest level of licensure or certification for which (s)he is eligible. Assures continuation of such by acquiring the minimum number of hours of training or CEUs necessary to retain such licensure or certification.
Establishes a knowledge of appropriate codes and keeps abreast of changes in order to maximize billing.
Completes and maintains the quantity and quality of documentation necessary to meet regulatory and organizational requirements
Arranges for, documents and maintains participation in clinical supervision. Provides clinical supervision as requested.
