About The Position

The Behavioral Science Division at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is seeking a psychologist to provide care for pediatric and young adult patients with rheumatic disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves collaborating with the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology, functioning as an embedded provider within a Medical Division, and teaching medical staff and trainees. The position offers opportunities for program development in areas such as care delivery models, group interventions, and prevention/intervention models. The ideal candidate will be invested in creating innovative integrated behavioral health models within a large healthcare system and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Requirements

Doctoral degree in Psychology (PsyD or PhD) from an accredited institution.
3 years of experience in Psychology or related field.
Excellent clinical interviewing and assessment/therapy skills to work with patients and families.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Active PA Psychology License.
Act 31, 33, 34, & 73 Clearances with Renewal.

Nice To Haves

Post-doctoral fellowship in position specific area.
Prior experience in pediatric psychology.

Responsibilities

Provide care for pediatric and young adult patients dealing with rheumatic disorders.
Function as embedded providers within their Medical Divisions.
