About The Position

Provides psychological assessments and recommendations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in psychology.
• Licensed in the State of Kansas.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must pass a physical examination, including drug screen
• Must pass an MVR, KBI and Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Lifting requirements of 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer 2 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes Psychological assessments.
• Reviews client’s case history and determine the psychological services that are necessary; the assessment of services may address the following areas: personality, functioning, intellectual abilities, school achievement testing and vocations.
• Will work with medical practitioner to assist with referral and diagnosis of FASD.
• Administers and scores psychometric instruments, completes a mental status assessment, educational needs assessment and dictates a report summarizing these assessments.
• Consults on the substance abuse assessments.
• Provides a diagnosis utilizing current DSM.
• Meets with client/client family and when applicable, their provider of substance use services to review assessment.
• May provide individual, family and group therapy, as needed.
• Implements SFCS policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent SFCS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and all term contractual terms.
• Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
• Ensures clients’ rights are protected.
• Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures
