Psychiatry Physician - Psychiatrist
About The Position
A nonprofit, physician-led multispecialty health system is seeking a full-time General Psychiatrist to join a collaborative behavioral health team in southern New Mexico, near the El Paso region. The physician will provide a combination of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, seeing approximately 12–15 clinic patients per day while managing inpatient discharges and brief follow-up visits, with support from other psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule with a shared 1:6 call rotation and offers a competitive compensation package.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
- New Mexico medical license required before employment.
- Comfortable treating a broad adult psychiatric patient population.
- Ability to manage both outpatient visits and brief inpatient follow-up care.
- Eligible candidates may include physicians requiring J-1 or H-1B visa sponsorship.
