About The Position

As a Psychiatrist, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric services to youth and families with complex needs, including conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and overseeing ongoing medication management. The Psychiatrist will serve as a clinical resource to program staff and collaborate closely with county partners to promote safety, stability, and overall well-being. Seneca's Wraparound Program in Santa Clara County provides culturally-sensitive, highly-coordinated intensive services to youth and families with complex and enduring needs. Through a team and strengths-based approach, the mental health supports focus on enhancing safety, placement stability, and well-being. Wraparound works in close partnership with the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS), Juvenile Probation, Behavioral Health and Post-Adoption services to provide outcome-oriented services aimed to keep youth in their homes and community. Wraparound serves racially and ethnically diverse youth and families regardless of, but not limited to, their socio-economic circumstance, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and religion. Requirements

  • Board eligibility or certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Active California Medical License, Current and Valid DEA Certificate
  • Successful completion of Seneca’s credentialing process
  • Proof of liability insurance
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements

Responsibilities

  • Complete initial psychiatric evaluations of clients to determine medication and treatment needs
  • Prescribe and monitor medications regularly during a client's enrollment in program.
  • Provide consultation and education to treatment staff regarding medication use as part of the treatment regimen for each client during the course of their treatment in program.
  • Provide coverage for other psychiatrists and other campuses as needed via telehealth.
  • Maintain timely and accurate paperwork as needed, including Medi-Cal documentation.
  • Additional responsibilities as by the Program Director, Assistant Program Director and/or Agency Medical Director.

Benefits

  • $240/hour: board-eligible Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist with no board certifications
  • $250/hour: board-eligible Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist with board certification in General Psychiatry
  • $265/hour: board-certified Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Additional compensation upon passing the bilingual language proficiency exam
