About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Raleigh, NC — 24 hours per week. Your expertise will help individuals achieve stability, recovery, and independence in the community they call home. As the ACT Team Psychiatrist, you will be a clinical leader providing essential psychiatric care for individuals with serious mental illness and substance use challenges. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver person‑centered, community‑based services that create lasting impact. Your work directly contributes to stability, recovery, and improved quality of life for those who need it most. Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) with an active, unrestricted NC license
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry (ASAM certification or eligibility preferred)
  • 5+ years experience treating individuals with mental illness
  • Expertise in treating serious mental illness, including: Schizophrenia Schizoaffective Disorder Bipolar I Disorder with Psychosis

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management
  • Deliver outpatient psychotherapy in community settings
  • Utilize evidence-based and emerging best practices in psychiatric care
  • Ensure coordination between mental health, substance use, and primary healthcare services
  • Consult with primary care providers to support comprehensive health needs
  • Guide and support ACT team members in clinical decision‑making
