About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatrist to join their Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Dunn, NC. This part-time role, 12 hours per week, focuses on providing essential psychiatric care to individuals with serious mental illness and substance use challenges. The Psychiatrist will be a clinical leader, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered, community-based services aimed at promoting stability, recovery, and independence. The role involves providing psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and outpatient psychotherapy in community settings, utilizing evidence-based practices. Additionally, the Psychiatrist will ensure coordination between mental health, substance use, and primary healthcare services, consult with primary care providers, and guide ACT team members in clinical decision-making. Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) with an active, unrestricted NC license.
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry (ASAM certification or eligibility preferred).
  • 5+ years experience treating individuals with mental illness.
  • Expertise in treating serious mental illness, including: Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar I Disorder with Psychosis.
  • A heart for community-based care and a commitment to recovery-centered practice are essential.

Responsibilities
