ND - Psychiatrist - Grand Forks
About The Position
This is an inpatient psychiatry position at Altru Hospital. The psychiatrist will be responsible for a 24-bed inpatient unit, including a 6-bed adolescent unit and a general adult unit. The role also involves seeing all ages and diagnoses in the ER and providing consultations to the general hospital. Telemedicine may be used to connect to the general hospital, though the inpatient unit is directly adjacent and walkable. The position requires working 7 days on/off with 1-2 nights of call per 7-day shift. Support staff includes 1-2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), a social work/discharge team, and an intake team. The psychiatrist will work alongside another psychiatrist on a 7 days on/off schedule, with typical change days on Thursdays.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Psychiatry
- Proficient in EMR (EPIC)
- Willing to work with another psychiatrist on a 7 days on/off schedule
- Must be able to start by 9/9 for a full orientation
- Willing to see all ages and diagnosis in the ER and consultation to general hospital
