About The Position
The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Full-time Psychiatrist for its Emergency Psychiatry services at Mount Sinai Morningside/West. This role involves providing direct care to patients experiencing mental health crises, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and consulting to the main emergency department. The positions are at academic teaching sites with residents and medical students, offering opportunities for teaching and mentoring. There are also strong linkages with Health Home care coordination and opportunities to participate in innovative service delivery and clinical care pilots.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible Psychiatrists.
- NYS license to practice medicine.
- Faculty appointment at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with experience.
Nice To Haves
- Previous psychiatric emergency department experience.
- Previous psychosomatic medicine experience.
Responsibilities
