About The Position
River Region Psychiatry Associates is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to provide inpatient care, outpatient care, or a combination of both. The practice offers flexible scheduling and a physician-led, patient-centered, supportive, and collaborative environment. The role may include using ECT and other advanced therapies, participating in a graduate medical education program, and mentoring or educating future psychiatrists. Opportunities are available for leadership, research, and teaching.
Requirements
- Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry through the ABPN.
- An active or eligible medical license in the state where applying.
- Experience or a strong interest in addiction treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Strong leadership and teaching skills and a collaborative approach to care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience supervising mid-level providers.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and manage medications, including for patients with substance use disorders.
- Deliver high-quality inpatient and/or outpatient psychiatric care.
- Collaborate with and supervise mid-level providers to support patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation according to facility standards.
- Mentor and educate future psychiatrists and participate in the GME program.
- Attend work as required; attendance is an essential function of the role.
