About The Position

Tower Health is seeking a per diem Psychiatrist to join its growing psychiatry practice in West Reading, Pennsylvania. The psychiatrist will manage a wide range of outpatient psychiatry practices or work in emergency and consultation psychiatry. Experience in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency psychiatry is required. Tower Health is a regional integrated healthcare system serving communities in Berks, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. It has approximately 11,500 employees and includes Reading Hospital, Phoenixville Hospital, Pottstown Hospital, and St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Tower Health has partnered with Drexel University College of Medicine, whose medical school opened in 2021 near Reading Hospital. Reading Hospital serves as the medical school's main training hospital and supports ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs. Requirements

MD or DO degree.
Must be licensed or eligible to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry.
Experience in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency psychiatry.
BLS certification.
Pennsylvania license and DEA license.
Current Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine license.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Manage a wide range of outpatient psychiatry practices or provide emergency and consultation psychiatry.
Complete and maintain all competencies and trainings required for the role.
