About The Position
Responsible for delivery of direct psychiatric and medical care within the Agency, as assigned, to specific services, programs and groups. This role involves exposure to consumers and all possible program emergencies and conditions; to possible irregular and on-call working hours; and to a variety of work locations as the need arises.
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized school of medicine
- One year of internship in an approved hospital
- Successful completion of three years of residency in psychiatry
- Five years of experience in the practice of psychiatric medicine
- Ability to sit, twist, bend and stand for long periods
- Ability to transport self from building to building and differing locations
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in association with a community mental health program
- Professional recognition and board certification in the field of psychiatric medicine
