We are currently seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team supporting the Loma Linda VA Healthcare System , providing essential mental health services to our nation�s Veterans.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Psychiatry residency
Active, unrestricted medical license
Ability to complete AMI credentialing requirements
Ability to meet physical demands of the role (standing, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs, etc.)
Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records
Utilize appropriate methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of all ages and from diverse cultural socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic, sexual orientations, lifestyles, and physical abilities.
Deliver targeted, culturally appropriate information to help individuals and groups understand health promotion and disease prevention information, policies, regulations, and local code.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
Provide medication management and monitor patient progress
Deliver crisis intervention and manage psychiatric emergencies
Perform suicide risk assessments and safety planning
Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic interventions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including social workers, psychologists, and medical staff
Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation (VA standards)
Provide care across multiple settings (inpatient, outpatient, ED, telehealth)
Support training and mentorship of residents (if applicable)
Participate in on-call coverage as needed
