About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is hiring a part-time outpatient Psychiatrist at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The position provides outpatient psychiatric care to adults age 18 and older, including geriatric patients, on a 24-hour-per-week schedule, generally across any three days Monday through Friday. There is flexibility to add one or two evening sessions per week as outpatient evening services expand. The Psychiatrist provides comprehensive psychiatric assessments and intakes, ongoing psychopharmacologic treatment, outreach, treatment planning, risk assessment, and timely clinical documentation. The role participates in the outpatient interdisciplinary treatment team and team meetings, and collaborates with Behavioral Health, Primary Care, and other services to promote continuity of care and movement to the appropriate level of treatment. The position also participates in quality, safety, and performance-improvement activities, with teaching and supervisory responsibilities for medical students, interns, trainees, and externs as applicable. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned healthcare campus that includes the 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital and the Health & Wellness Institute, which provides outpatient primary, preventive, and specialty services for children and adults. The hospital has academic affiliations with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. Requirements

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
Active New York State Medical License.

Responsibilities

Provide outpatient psychiatric care to adults age 18 and older, including geriatric patients.
Participate as a member of the outpatient interdisciplinary treatment team and attend team meetings.
Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and intakes.
Provide ongoing psychopharmacologic treatment, appropriate outreach, treatment planning, and risk assessment.
Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Behavioral Health, Primary Care, and other services to promote continuity of care and movement to the appropriate level of treatment.
Participate in quality, safety, and performance-improvement activities.
Provide teaching and supervision for medical students, interns, trainees, and externs, as applicable.

Benefits

Annual base salary of $167,169 for board-eligible candidates or $173,596 for board-certified candidates, based on a 24-hour work week.
Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
Projected bonus of up to $24,000, contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
