About The Position

Lyra Clinical Associates partners with Lyra Health, a leading provider of evidence-based mental health care, serving millions globally. The company has delivered millions of sessions of mental health care and aims to transform access to life-changing mental health care through Lyra Empower, an AI-powered platform. As a contract psychiatrist, you will provide evidence-based treatment via live video appointments, conduct psychiatric evaluations, and provide medication management. Lyra facilitates referrals to therapy and coaching services. The role involves providing care to individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, emphasizing culturally-responsive care. Lyra’s provider network includes in-person and virtual therapists, physicians, and coaches. The network offers advanced matching technology, a supportive provider platform, and opportunities for training and clinical consultation. The ideal candidate is passionate about whole-person, whole-family mental health care and working within a connected network to provide accessible, culturally responsive, high-quality mental health care.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or -eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state
  • Experience providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy) preferred but not required
  • Computer and live video tools literacy (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.)
  • Demonstrated family engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults
  • Commitment to and familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and competency in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage.
  • Utilize proven therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, ensuring safe and appropriate interventions.
  • Foster a collaborative treatment environment, educating families on mental health issues, involving them in care planning, and providing guidance on supportive measures at home.
  • Conduct virtual psychiatric sessions, ensuring a high-quality and supportive experience, and leverage technology to maintain regular communication with members and families.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning, and provide consultative support to other team members for comprehensive member care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Use data analytics to assess outcomes and continuously improve care quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards, engage in ongoing professional development, and commit to ethical, patient-centered care practices.
