About The Position

Independence Health is in search of a licensed Psychiatrist specializing in mental health, responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients using medication, psychotherapy, and behavioral interventions. Key duties include conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medications, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient or outpatient settings. Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Four (4) to seven (7) years of internship and residency training, pertaining to specialty field.
Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.
Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
Current medical license in the state of Pennsylvania.
Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA).
Certification by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

Two (2) to Four (4) years’ experience in psychiatry.
Experience in Healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Examine, Diagnose, treat, provide care to patients
Direct, coordinate or supervise patient care activities of nursing or support services
Order and interpret the results of tests

Collaborate with health care professionals to plan and provide treatment
