About The Position

The Psychiatric Technician provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. The role obtains information on a patient's condition as requested by nursing staff and reports changes in the patient's condition.

The position is at Cox North in the Adult Psychiatry department. It is scheduled for 28 hours per week, with varied hours and a rotating work shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valuable time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.
• Must obtain department-specific certifications within the designated time frame.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field.
• Previous experience with mental health or an age-specific population.
