About The Position
The Psychiatric Technician provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. The technician obtains information about patient condition as requested by nursing staff and reports any changes in patient condition. The position is in the Adult Psychiatry department at Cox North and is scheduled for 40 hours per week, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM on the day shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valuable time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.
- Must obtain department-specific certifications within the designated time frame.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field.
- Previous experience with a mental health or age-specific population.
