About The Position

Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition. Adult Psychiatric Units I and II provide care for adult patients (ages 18–50) experiencing acute mental health needs. Each unit includes 21 beds, divided into two wings: a 14-bed lower acuity wing and a 7-bed higher acuity wing, allowing for tailored, patient-centered care. These units are built around a strong commitment to safety and creating a supportive, therapeutic environment that promotes healing and mental wellness. Staff play a vital role in fostering stability, trust, and recovery for patients during vulnerable moments in their lives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must obtain department specific certifications within the designated time frame

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field
• Previous experience with mental health or age specific population
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exhibits valuable time management skills
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
• AAPT certification
