About The Position

Psychiatric Technicians are encouraged to consider an outstanding career opportunity with Liberty Healthcare’s specialized forensic mental health program at the West Valley Detention Center. This unique program provides high quality psychiatric stabilization and competency restoration services to adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness. As a Psychiatric Technician you will play an important role with Liberty’s treatment team. Your daily work will involve Providing in-person care to inmates within the jail Administering medication, including injectables Health education and basic counseling Documenting patient health status and treatment progress Participating in clinical team meetings Collaborating with psychiatrists, licensed clinicians, and security staff Ensuring clients receive high quality mental health services In this role, you will help people take meaningful steps in their journey towards improved mental health and wellbeing. This program operates within the West Valley Detention Center – a San Bernardino County jail located at 9500 Etiwanda Ave. in Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739. Requirements

• California Licensed Psychiatric Technician
• Experience supporting people who have mental illness
• Compassion, professionalism, and reliability

Responsibilities

• Providing in-person care to inmates within the jail
