Inpatient Unit Psychiatric Technician Full Time Nights
About The Position
Ridgeview, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is hiring a full-time Psychiatric Technician for its 24-hour, seven-day-per-week inpatient unit. The role involves working with the treatment team to maintain a therapeutic environment, carrying out day-to-day functions, and providing patient care interventions under the supervision of a registered nurse. The technician responds to individuals in crisis while helping maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. The schedule is three 8:00 p.m.–8:30 a.m. shifts per week, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as needed. Weekend and varied-shift availability is required. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals, groups, and other team members.
- Ability to obtain CPR and CPI certification; classes are provided by Ridgeview.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work weekends and various shifts.
- Ability to respond to individuals in crisis while maintaining a safe environment for staff and patients.
- Employment is contingent upon a clean drug screen, background check, and driving record.
