The Psychiatric Senior Case Manager position is based in Pediatric Behavioral Health & Wellness: Brighter Days Urgent Care which is a part of the clinical services of the Department of Psychiatry located at the UR Medical Center. The Urgent Care service provides: (1) Walk-In initial mental health/safety assessment, and immediate evidence-informed crisis intervention, as well as follow-up recommendations and linkage to appropriate community resources and treatment and (2) Short-term solution focused treatment to patients and their families in an up to 6-session model of care. The Psychiatric Senior Case Manager will support the Urgent Care team and the families they serve with consultation regarding community resources, preparation and follow up on referrals, and participation in appointments and community-based visits when clinically indicated. Must subscribe to UR Medicine ICARE values, including, creating a culturally competent environment by treating patients, families, trainees, and co-workers in a sensitive manner with appropriate attention to cultural differences. Hours of Urgent Care operation is: 8:00 am- 8:30 pm, 7 days a week, closed on University holidays. Schedule options for this position include: Four 10-hour days including one weekend day, and five 8-hour days from 12pm-8:30pm.
