About The Position

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Rehabilitation Supervisor to join their MPR (RAMS) Allegheny Mobile Services team. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where you will supervise and develop a team of psychiatric rehabilitation professionals while staying connected to the individuals served. The role ensures services are recovery-oriented, person-centered, trauma-informed, and focused on helping participants develop the skills needed for greater independence and successful community living. This position combines behavioral health experience with leadership to make a broader impact on both staff and participants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of direct mental health experience, including at least 1 year providing Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PRS)
  • OR Current Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) certification
  • Applicants who are not CPRP certified at the time of hire must obtain CPRP certification within 2 years of hire in accordance with Pennsylvania Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services requirements.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Access to a vehicle
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area
  • Act 33/34 clearances
  • FBI clearance as needed
  • Child Abuse Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialists.
  • Supervise a team of psychiatric rehabilitation staff and support their ongoing professional development.
  • Provide regular mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Promote evidence-based psychiatric rehabilitation practices.
  • Observe service delivery and provide feedback to strengthen staff effectiveness.
  • Help create a team culture centered on recovery, collaboration, accountability, and quality.
  • Provide direct support to participants in the program as needed.
  • Ensure services are recovery-oriented, person-centered, trauma-informed, and consistent with program requirements.
  • Support services that promote skill development, independence, recovery, and community integration.
  • Ensure participant goals and interventions are individualized, measurable, and meaningful.
  • Monitor participant progress toward identified recovery goals.
  • Support timely updates to rehabilitation plans based on participant progress and changing needs.
  • Assist with transition and discharge planning when goals have been achieved or services are no longer needed.
  • Oversee the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of psychiatric rehabilitation services.
  • Review documentation for accuracy, quality, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure participant goals, interventions, progress, and continued need for services are clearly documented.
  • Monitor service delivery, productivity, authorizations, incident reporting, and record quality.
  • Help ensure compliance with Pennsylvania psychiatric rehabilitation regulations, OMHSAS requirements, Medicaid standards, agency policies, and documentation requirements.
  • Use program data and outcomes to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, families, and natural supports.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, residential providers, service coordinators, and referral sources.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, and funders.
  • Promote effective communication between providers involved in participant care.
  • Help connect participants with services and community resources that support their recovery goals.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to support program goals.
  • Help monitor staffing, productivity, participant outcomes, service quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote a rehabilitation-focused culture that emphasizes measurable progress and increased independence.
  • Support successful participant transitions through the continuum of care.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to RHD’s mission, values, and recovery-oriented philosophy.
