Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) - Part-Time - Day Shift
About The Position
Centennial Peaks Hospital, a 104-bed facility providing psychiatric services to the Denver-metro area for over 30 years, is seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN). Located in Louisville, CO, the hospital offers a peaceful setting for adults seeking treatment for mental illness, including chemical dependency. The facility provides unique and individualized programming, Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs, in addition to inpatient services. The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide professional nursing care on a designated unit, prescribing, coordinating, and delegating nursing care within a multidisciplinary treatment team. The role involves accountability for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and promoting professional nursing practice on the unit.
Requirements
- Current license to practice nursing in the state of Colorado (or eligible to receive or renew).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Ability to provide therapeutic care to patients with a variety of mental health needs.
- Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management.
- Current CPR BLS certification through American Heart Association, or ability to learn (training provided during training period).
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital.
- Prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care.
- Is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis.
- Is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit.
