About The Position

Catholic Community Services of Western Washington (CCSWW) is seeking a passionate Psychiatric Provider to join their Counseling, Recovery & Wellness (CReW) Program. The CReW Program is a licensed community mental health and substance use disorder treatment program serving adults with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. The program emphasizes building collaborative relationships to improve clients' quality of life and offers services such as diagnostic assessments, therapy, peer support, case management, group counseling, skills training, care coordination, medication management, and psychoeducation. This role is crucial for providing onsite supportive services in agency housing and shelter programs, adapting services to meet client needs in various King County locations. Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as an ARNP or MD in the State of Washington with full prescriptive authority and DEA certificate in good standing.
  • Two+ years of experience working with adults with serious mental illness in an inpatient or outpatient clinical setting.
  • One year+ direct experience with individuals who have severe substance use disorders.
  • Completed training on suicide risk prevention and assessment.
  • Demonstrated competence in assessment, diagnosis, medication evaluation and current, sound prescriptive practices for seriously disturbed adults.
  • Commitment to working collaboratively with staff of diverse backgrounds, training, and levels of experience promoting teamwork in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and positively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated commitment to preservation of a workplace which embraces diversity.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability and willingness to provide clinical training to staff on psychotropic medications, diagnostic formulations, or other relevant topics as requested by program leadership.
  • Interest and/or experience in working in dynamic clinic and community settings.
  • Previous experience with diagnosis and treatment of Opioid Use Disorder.
  • Interest in learning about innovative strategies for buprenorphine inductions and applying them in clinical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts psychiatric assessment of individuals.
  • Prescribes and provides medication management as appropriate for psychiatric diagnosis and provides ongoing medication management services.
  • Provides regular psychiatric/medical consultation and direction to clinical staff.
  • Conducts evaluation of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) for clients who self-identify as using opioids and are seeking treatment to support their goal of reduction or cessation of opioids.
  • Prescribes Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) for client with OUD, including vivitrol and buprenorphine in both oral and injectable form, depending on patient preference.
  • Coordinates care with other involved medical providers.
  • Completes all paperwork and record keeping required of position.
  • Provides periodic in-service training, as schedule permits, to staff regarding psychiatric/medical and clinical issues.
  • Responsible for upholding a culture of privacy and security in a highly confidential work environment (HIPAA covered entity service area).
  • Complies with all CCSWW policies and procedures that involve access to and safeguarding of client Protected Health Information (all forms).
