Requirements

Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
Active NYS license and registration as a PMHNP-BC.
DEA License.
BLS certification.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a growth mindset.
Minimum commitment of 10 patient hours a week.
One-third of patient hours must be spent onsite.

Nice To Haves

Experience with children and adolescents.
Spanish-speaking abilities.

Responsibilities

Evaluate & treat psychiatric conditions such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on patient history, symptoms, and diagnostic tests.
Prescribe and monitor medications, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.
Screen patients for higher levels of care and refer as needed.
Educate patients on self-management strategies for acute and chronic conditions.
Collaborate closely with colleagues in a supportive and collegial environment.
Conduct ketamine consultations, prescribing, administration, and monitoring (with training).
