About The Position

Good Samaritan is seeking compassionate, caring, and dedicated caregivers to join their team as Psychiatric Nursing Technicians. This role is crucial in providing high-quality, safe patient care within the Relationship Based Care model. The position emphasizes maintaining high patient satisfaction by considering individual needs, age-specific requirements, and developmental needs. The technician will contribute to a high-performance work environment by maintaining necessary knowledge and skills according to hospital policies and procedures. The hospital has a long-standing tradition of excellence, serving southwest Indiana and southwest Illinois for over 115 years, and is recognized as a Magnet® facility, TJC Primary Stroke Center, and a Level III Trauma Center.

Requirements

• High school graduate with some psychology courses preferred.
• None required.

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists with the patients’ activities of daily living utilizing the Relationship Based Care model.
• Assists the healthcare team by collecting, reporting, documenting, and delivering care to support high quality and safe outcomes.
• Maintains high satisfaction levels by providing care with consideration of the individual needs of the patient/family and their age-specific/developmental needs.
• Contributes to a high-performance work environment by maintaining specific knowledge and skills needed to perform tasks according to policy and procedure at Good Samaritan Hospital.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested by Nurse.
