About The Position
Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Psychiatric Nursing Director for Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. This role provides operational and clinical leadership for multiple psychiatric nursing units within an acute care hospital. The director will partner with the Chief Nursing Officer to oversee nursing practice, patient safety, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include directing clinical operations, staffing, budgeting, performance improvement, and resource management. The role also involves leading, mentoring, and developing nursing leaders, promoting professional growth and accountability, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care through evidence-based nursing practice. The position requires maintaining 24/7 leadership accountability for assigned service lines.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing with a Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field or BSN required.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master's Degree in a healthcare-related field required.
- Minimum of five years of psychiatric nursing leadership experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong leadership, operational, communication, and team development skills.
- Ability to oversee multiple nursing units while maintaining high standards of patient care.
