About The Position

Shields Health Care Group’s MRI Technologists support the integrity of the organization with their commitment to excellence. The MRI technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment. This role is scheduled for 12-10:30p, Monday-Thursday at CCH, with the possibility of covering Fontaine in Harwich if needed. Requirements

  • Prior MRI scanning experience.
  • MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications.
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills.
  • ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
  • Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
  • On-call required 1 night per week or as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
  • Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
  • Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
  • Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
  • Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
  • Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
  • Administer intravenous contrast.
  • Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
  • Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
  • Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
  • Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
  • Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
  • Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
  • Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
  • Participate in a call schedule/rotation as required by some inpatient locations.
  • Administer contrast.
