About The Position

HOPEWELL STAFFING is sourcing candidates for a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant role in the VERNON, TX area. This position involves working with individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, chemical dependency, and social or physical disorders in inpatient habilitation or rehabilitation efforts within Mental Health Units. The role will focus on therapeutic groups and activities.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent
• Willing to work with individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, chemical dependency, social and/or physical disorders who are inpatient in their habilitation or rehabilitation efforts in the Mental health Units.
• Must be available for 9 consecutive days of training, M-F, 8-5 before resume is sent.
• Able to start any day during the week (M-F), given 5 days before start date for processing all pre-employment requirements.
• Minimum of 2-3 weeks of on unit mentorship.

Nice To Haves

• Psych experience is preferred
• Experience in direct patient care work preferred.
