About The Position
HOPEWELL STAFFING is sourcing candidates for a PSYCHIATRIC NURSING ASSISTANT in the VERNON, TX area. The role involves working with individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, chemical dependency, and social and/or physical disorders in their habilitation or rehabilitation efforts within Mental Health Units. The focus will be on therapeutic groups and activities.
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent
- Willing to work with individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, chemical dependency, social and/or physical disorders who are inpatient in their habilitation or rehabilitation efforts in the Mental health Units.
- Must be available for 9 consecutive days of training, M-F, 8-5.
- Must be available for a minimum of 2-3 weeks of on-unit mentorship.
Nice To Haves
- Psych experience is preferred
- Experience in direct patient care work preferred
Responsibilities
- Work with individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, chemical dependency, social and/or physical disorders.
