About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide mental health services in long-term care and nursing home facilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver impactful psychiatric care to an often-overlooked population. Make a lasting difference by providing essential psychiatric care to geriatric patients. This role offers flexible scheduling with part-time and full-time options, local travel with day-to-day variety across multiple facilities, and a collaborative care model with medical directors, nurses, and social workers. You will have independent practice with supportive leadership, working in a low-stress, predictable environment outside of a hospital setting. The focus is on stable, chronic conditions in a supportive care environment, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and continuity with your patient panel. Multiple facilities are available to match commute preferences.
Requirements
- Certified PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)
- Active, unrestricted state license
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with geriatric or long-term care populations preferred
- Prior experience as a Psychiatric RN or Psychiatric NP in a nursing home or similar setting is a plus
