Requirements

Active Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in New York.
Current DEA registration and prescribing authority.
Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or related settings preferred.
Occasional travel when needed.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications as clinically indicated.
Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up appointments.
Develop and update treatment recommendations based on client needs and progress.
Assess and respond to psychiatric concerns, crises, and changes in clinical status.
Coordinate care with outside medical and psychiatric providers when appropriate.
Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical case reviews.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams regarding client needs, concerns, and progress.
Complete documentation in accordance with regulatory, clinical, and organizational standards.
Provide clinical consultation and psychiatric guidance to treatment teams as needed.
Support quality improvement, accreditation, and compliance initiatives.
