About The Position

Ellie Mental Health is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their expanding team and contribute to a new medication management service line. This role offers the chance to shape psychiatric care delivery in a high-growth outpatient setting while working with diverse patient populations. The PMHNP will practice with strong administrative and clinical support, conducting psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive care. The organization values clinicians who are proactive, engaged, and committed to expanding access to integrative, holistic, and evidence-based mental health care. This is a fee-for-service position with a strong base pay structure and opportunities for leadership growth.

Requirements

  • Fully licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Board certified (ANCC or AANP)
  • Active license in at least one of the following states: MD or VA
  • Active DEA or CDS license
  • Valid NPI and malpractice insurance
  • Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-state licensure preferred
  • Experience in outpatient or private practice settings
  • Comfort managing a high-functioning outpatient caseload
  • Experience working with insurance-based populations
  • Comfort treating a range of conditions (anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders)
  • Interest in helping develop and grow a new service line

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations (initial assessments)
  • Diagnose mental health conditions and develop medication treatment plans
  • Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust medications as needed
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation (evaluations and med management notes)
  • Collaborate with therapists to support coordinated, whole-person care
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and payer requirements
