About The Position

This part-time position involves providing psychiatric care within long-term care facilities in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The role focuses on conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, managing medications, and collaborating with a healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health nursing, or an equivalent qualification.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license valid for practice in Arkansas.
• AANP/ ANCC and DEA license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.
• Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with facility staff and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable standards.
• Educate and support patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment plans.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives when applicable.
