About The Position

Peregrine Health is seeking a full-time, 100% remote Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their team. This role is designed to provide experienced PMHNPs with support, flexibility, and stability. The company is building a community of providers dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered behavioral healthcare, emphasizing accessibility, effectiveness, and integration into patients' lives. The approach prioritizes long-term patient impact, ensuring behavioral health is a fundamental part of care. The role offers meaningful clinical autonomy while collaborating with a network of behavioral health providers, primary care teams, and operational partners. Peregrine Health handles administrative tasks related to licensing, credentialing, technology, and care delivery, allowing providers to focus on patients.

Requirements

  • Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license
  • Active DEA registration
  • At least three years of clinical experience, preferably in community-based behavioral health
  • Experience providing psychiatric medication management
  • Ability to independently manage complex cases using strong clinical judgment
  • Commitment to full-time practice
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Comfort using telehealth platforms and digital clinical tools

Nice To Haves

  • Licensure in Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Texas, or Arizona is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for patients ages 5 and older.
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans aligned with patient needs and goals.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.
  • Diagnose and treat co-occurring behavioral health and substance use conditions.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to support whole-person care.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation within partner-site electronic health record systems.
  • Deliver care through telehealth while building strong, trusted relationships with patients and care teams.
  • Contribute to behavioral health programs that continue to evolve with the needs of the communities we serve.
